Special Effects and Compositing is a course aimed at those who with to learn about the process of visual effects for 2D and 3D images and text in film and in television. From minor cosmetic changes (such as sign replacement or color correction) to full blown effects shots (epic action scenes and dramatic effects) to professional text effects for titles and credits, the course aims to give you an insight into the various techniques and the necessary skills to carry out these tasks.

Moving Images is an introduction to making movies using digital video. This course will provide an overview of genres, script writing and story boarding, shooting (cinematography, lighting, sound), capturing, editing (video and audio), and compression. This course is designed to help students decide what aspect of movie making they would like to focus on. Each student will walk away with a three to five minute completed video.
